By nature, children of wrath,
His holiness we had forsaken;
For we all chose our own path,
But our sins on himself Christ has taken.
The Father gave
The Son to save.
We stand condemned by our sin
For the glory of God we rejected,
But Christ bids us come to Him;
By His righteousness we'll be perfected.
God's righteousness
Made manifest:
Justified freely by grace
Through faith in Jesus.
Once for all, taking our place,
His death decreed us
To be His by grace.
By faith we've been justified.
With God we're now reconciled.
He'll never cast us aside
For the Father has called us His child:
The bride of Christ,
Bought with a price.
Blessed are the ones
Whose sins are covered;
Our cursed souls
Have been recovered.
We have been redeemed!
